Cat sneeze

Question
My cat started sneezing about 2 months ago, it is not constant, I do notice it more when he eats or drinks.  Any correlation?

Answer
Hi Marsha!  How old is your kitty?  Some kitties are known to sneeze quite a bit.  I have a cat that sneezes often, although there are no health problems present.  It could be a little allergy, or just a hair tickling his nose.  He may be sneezing more when eating or drinking, as he may be getting crumbs or water up his nose.  As long as you don't see any rashes, swelling, thick nasal or ocular discharge, and he is behaving normally (eating, drinking, playing) I would not be concerned.
If you do see any of the symptoms I have listed above, you may want to take your cat to your veterinarian as these could be symptoms of a mild to severe allergic reaction, or an upper respiratory infection.
I hope this has been helpful!
