our dog has recently become...

Question
our dog has recently become ill in the last couple of days.  he had fluid
coming from his ears and would not eat.  now his inside of his ears are
raw in spots and he is shedding profusely and loosing wait rapidly.  The
flies also will not leave him alone.What could be wrong.
We have a call in to the vet but it is sunday.

Hi Amanda.  It definately sounds as though there is an infection present.  I would definately recommend taking your dog to the vet as soon as possible.  It is too hard to determine what is wrong without physically examining him, but it sounds as though there is definately a brutal ear infection present, among other things.
