hi i am new to marine tanks and i was wondering in a fish only tank do i need to use a wave machine / powerheads in my tank

Hello Robert.

The need of higher flow/circulation for a fish only tank is minimal.  I would put a smaller powerhead in to create some flow so the fish get some excersize or play time in... I constantly see a few fish swimming upstream as it were...
