Question
Hi my name is Wendy and I would like to put plants in my tank. I have never used live plants I think they look very nice, I also know that some plants do better with some fish. I have a 55gal with 2 green terrors 1 male 1 female 1 jack 2 pleckos and 3 little coreys I think that is what they are . Will the green terrors pull up the plants.Would you happen to be able to tell me what kind of plants would work best if I can out them in .I have the name of a few plants I like if it will help a Giant hygro, tropic sunset, ludwigia ovalis, they are all freshwater aquarium plants. thank you for you time . Answer
Hello,

Unfortunately cichlids are best to not have planted tanks, because they likely will pull the plants up. Rocks and driftwood are much better ornaments for a cichlid tank. If you do want some plants, I would recommend plastic ones.

Hope this helps,
