Is my tank big enough?

Hello Chris,

My tank is new. It holds ten gallon.
I've want to purchase some Swordtail fish, but according to this fish guide I read, I am supposed to have at least a twenty gallon aquarium. I once put two swordtails in a 2.5 gallon aquarium and they died. Will survive in the ten gallon tank even though the article said they wouldn't

Swordtails really do need a larger tank. They get to be almost five inches long and if they breed you have even more of them in too small a tank. You also need to let the tank break-in by adding only one small fish for the first 6 weeks or so. Here is my article about it to help you through;
