Question
I have just set up a 10 gallon tank.  I want to get a beta along with some others.  What other species will do well with a beta in a 10 gallon tank?  Our last tank had a bad algae problem so I was thinking about an algae eater as well. Any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Kate;

Bettas can live in a 10 gallon tank with Platies, Cory Cats, Otocinclus algae eaters, Neon tetras, Cherry Barbs, Danios and Rasboras. You just have to start very slow and only have one fish in there during the 6 week break-in period.
