sump overflow

Question
if the power goes off what is to stop the entire tank from emptying all ove the floor, my sump would be underneath the main tank

if the power goes off water will not go all over the floor, however the water will possibly run into the air pump which on start could start an electrical fire. you should have check valve in the air line between the air pump and the air line going into the tank. these can be purchased at a local retailer and even walmart has sold them. they are inexpensive and can prevent damage.best of luck
