Question
Thanks! Will a Betta have a problem with the turbulence? I've read that they desire calm water.

Question -
I have a 5 gallon fresh water tank with a Penguin 100B Biowheel power filter. The volume of water that flows through the filter is creating a lot of turbulence and I cannot adjust the flow. Will this disrupt my fish? I wanted to get a biowheel filter and I tried to get the smallest one available. Should I try one of those Whisper 10 power filters which are adjustable, or should I not be concerned? Thank you.

Answer -
Hello,

You don't have to worry. Aggravating the water like that actually helps to dissolve more oxygen into the water and is actually better for your fish.

I hope this helps.

Stephanie

Answer
Hello,

I found my bettas have been unbothered with the turbulence. A 5 gallon tank is big enough that they can move to the side away from the water output if they are bothered by its flow. However, all fish will become used to this eventually.
