peacock bass food inquiry

Question
I've had a peacock bass for about four months now, and have recently become more concerned with possible sicknesses. He refuses to eat anything I try to feed him unless it is live(other than frozen bloodworms). The disease factor associated with live feeders, especially since live food is his staple, has me wondering : what else will he eat? I've tried just about everything, but to no avail.

Any food suggestions?

Answer
Feeder guppies tend to have less disease than feeder goldfish. Your best bet if you have the ability is to consider raising your own feeder guppies for your fish then you know they are not ill and can use a weak all purpose medication in the feeder tank. Have you tried small crickets? Some fish that eat live fish will sometimes take to small crickets as a meal. Wish I could be of more help... best of luck.
