Bloated dwaf gourami

hello. I have a dwarf gourami that is bloated. Her scales are sticking up and her stomach is pretty big. She has no trouble swimming or eating though. Is she sick and if she is how can i cure her? Please help, she is very special to me! Thank you!

Hi Tony,
Your dwarf Gourami has dropsy. Dropsy is very difficult to treat and in later stages can cause internal bleeding or damage. I would recommend a salt bath followed by some Maracyn. Try and feed a good diet such as peas and a good flake food. Hopefully, you have caught it just in time to treat.
