Ram that is not eating, hding and is very dark colored

I have 2 rams, have had for 3 months.  All of a sudden the one is hiding in the
corner, it's has a darker appearence now and i am not sure if it is eating.  Acting
strange

Hi,
I would do a 50 percent water change today or tomorrow, and do 30 percent water changes every day for around a week.
Check that the nitrite and ammonia are both 0.0. Water changes will help lower them. Also check the nitrate, under 20ppm is acceptable, and live plants will help lower it.
Give them a variety of food. In addition to flake food, feed both live and frozen bloodworm, brineshrimp and daphnia. Also feed shelled and boiled peas and cucumber every week.
He should soon perk up.
