You referred to LFS as having the medicine to treat this problem. What does LFS stand for?

Hi Kurt;

LFS stands for "Local Fish Store". I always refer to it in complete words with no abbreviations or initials. It's too confusing otherwise, as you can see. ;-) You must have been corresponding with another expert who uses it.

You may not actually need medication for Hole-in-the-Head. Those particular medicines can be very hard on your fish and can be pretty expensive. Unless the underlying cause is corrected the nedicine won't work well anyway. Hole-In-The-Head is usually a water quality and diet issue. Make twice a week 25% water changes and gravel vacuumings once a week, improve the diet with good variety and vitamins and the fish should heal on it's own.
