Beginner Fish Keeper What should I do?

Hey Craig I have a 5 gallon tank and I want to put tropical fish in it.  What kind of tropical fish do you recommend for a beginner like me and how many of that kind of fish would my 5 gallon tank be able to hold?

First off remember to cycle your tank prior to adding any fish, if you put fish in strait off your asking for a tank full of dead fish.  As far as what would be good first fish, you really cant go wrong with any of the live bearers like Swordtails or Mollys, small tetras are also a pretty safe bet, in a 5 gallon tank you can put 3 or 4 small tropical fish in it but no more then that.  Good luck.
