Question
hi. i have an axolotl which i have recently moved into a larger tank. sadly as i was moving it the top rear piece of his tail fin got caught on something and quite a large section fell off. i have a natural antibiotic from the pet shop and am currently treating it. can you tell me if the piece of fin is able to grow back or will this injury affect its long term movement?look foward to hearing your reply as i am worried. cheers

Answer
Hi Sam,
From what I know of fish in general...if the fin is ripped, most times it will grow back...maybe not as pretty as before...but it will grow back...UNLESS it is ripped from the base (right at the body) in which case...it may not grow back...if he is moving ok now..I wouldn't worry about it.
