Community to Cichlid Tank

Alex,

I was hoping you could provide me with some information on what steps to take to change my community tank into a Cichlid thank.  My tank is well a well established 30 gallon that I have had for 5 years.  I was looking for a change and was hoping to convert my tank.  I currently have a smaller amount of fish in the tank so I figured I could find a good home for them should they not be compatible.  Any info you can provide would be appreciated.

I pulled your question from our question pool. If you can provide me with the type of Cichlids you want to keep...South American, African, etc, I can probably help you. As for your current fish, if you are not able to find a good home for them, most fish stores will take them in on trade.
