Regarding cycling

Hi. I have a 29 gallon tank with 2 small fantails and I have a 10 gallon with a Betta and the 10 gallon tank is estblished tank can I use the filter from the 10 gallon to help cycle the 29 gallon and if so how do I do that? Thanks Mike

Hi Mike,
If its a hang on the back type power filter simply move the old cartridge from the 10's filter to the 29's (wedge it in if possible or take the frame and any carbon out of the bag and push it in the filter) it will definitely help seed the 29 gallon with bacteria but the aquarium will still need time to get fully established.
