Stocking a 54 litre aquarium

Question
Hi Jaymie,

I have a 54 litre blue planet filtered and heated aquarium which has been cycled for around 6 weeks now. I have had two apple snails throughout the whole cycle.

So far, I have 2x dwarf gourami at full size (around 5.5cm), two green corydoras, and 1 female betta around 4cm. I was wondering if the tank is fully stocked, and, if not, would I be able to add in around 4 glowlight tetras in a few weeks?

I have only been keeping fish for around 5 months now but I try to get myself well educated, stocking is hard to figure out!

At the moment I also have one male betta in a 20L aquarium with a low power filter and a heater, he didn't get along in the 54L

Thanks and have a wonderful christmas!

Answer
Alexander, You should be ok to add the 4 glowlight tetras. That will bring you to a stocked tank and should not add any more. Just make sure when you buy them, to put them in your hospital tank for a minimum of 2 weeks before adding them to the main tank.
