what is the cure? aqnd how do you know how progressed it has become.

I've not had much luck in curing columnaris...My method includes removing the fish and swabbing the affected area with a diluted solution of water and QuickCure (from WalMart or PETsMART.) This seems to work, but can be stressful on the fish.

Generally, the lighter and patchier the area, the worse off the fish is. It can be hard to tell from species to species...
