White mucus or film

I have a new 29 gallon tank that i recently set up about a month ago and i just notice that my goldfish have a white mucus or film all over their bodies. what is this? please help.

Hi Nancy,
 It sounds like your fish has ich.  You need to treat them for this right away.  There are various medications available. The one I use is called Rid-Ich but there are others.  Get one and start using it right away.  Ich is very serious but it is treatable.  Time is very important if you are to be successful.
