Question
So I am kinda confused. What exactly is "flicking rocks" I have two blood Parrot chiclids and one of them  is acting like he is diving mouth first into the gravel like he wants to eat it. He just started doing this.Is this flicking rocks? or something else? and how would I treat this? Also I don't know if this is relevent but some other well establishes fish in my community tank have also been dying. thank you

Answer
Hi Marissa,
Many cichlids create territories and they do this by moving the rocks out of the area they want to call "home".  You will be amazed at how much gravel they can move in a short time.  There is nothing wrong with this and it is perfectly normal.

The dying may be related.  As the parrot fish becomes more territorial, he feels the need to get rid of other fish that might happen into his territory.
