cleaning tank

Question
I have a 5 gal.tank, it has 4 small fish, and has been up and running only 9 days,would it hurt at this point to do light maintenance, as uneaten food is my problem>? I was unsure if it is ok to do maintenance so soon.

Hi Sonia,
It is never too soon to get rid of uneaten food. In fact, you shouldn't let uneaten food stay in the tank for more than a few minutes -- it will rot and foul the water.
