Betta fish depression?

Last night we cleaned our one beta fish tank that over time had collected lots of algae. Today our fish has not moved, eaten much (not any of the food given to him), and when you touch him with the net he just wiggles. Also when you tap on the glass  he doesn't move. I have no idea what is wrong with him,I have never heard of fish depression, but maybe there is. Please help, thank you!

I don't think it has anything to do with being depressed. How large is the tank you're keeping him in? How often do you do water changes? When you say cleaned, what exactly do you mean? I need to know these things in order to help you.
It is possible he is in shock for some reason. A sudden change in almost anything can cause that. I cannot name the specific source because I don't have enough detail, but maybe that is enough to help you understand what is wrong.
