Red Tailed Shark Food

Hello, I am buying a red tailed shark in a few weeks, and I need to know if they can eat flakes. What is the best food for a red tailed shark? I want him to live a long time. Thanks so much!

The Red tailed shark is a scavenger, he will eat anything you put in the tank!  It is a good idea to vary his diet, feeding him frozen bloodworms, and a good quality flake, as well as pellets that have been presoaked.  The more you vary the food the better.  Fish need vitamins like we do, and they find it in good quality food.  If they do not get good food, they will get weak, and sick.  Prevention is always better.  Good food along with weekly water changes keeps fish healthy, strong, therefore no disease.
