Question
Dear Chris
My siamese fighter Cleo is just over a year old and yesterday I noticed that he has a clear cover over his eye which looks swollen.  Please tell me what to do and how I can cure this as he is hiding and eating very little of his food. I feed him once a day is this too much?  Please advise.

Answer
Hi Murphy;

It sounds like a case of "pop-eye". Here is a web page about it that will tell you what you can do for him;

Here's another one with more info;

It's perfectly fine to feed once a day. It's even better when you "fast" your betta once a week. That means no food at all one day a week. It helps prevent constipation by clearing the digestive system. Constipation can be deadly.

I hope he feels better soon...
