eletric yellow cichlids

I have allot of the eletric yellow cichlids and some are breeder. I notice I been getting some swollen belly one that looks like a large mouth bass. after 2-3 week they will just die. Now I see 2-3 more like that. The size and age doesn't make any difference.Please help !!!!

Hi David,
  This is called "bloat".  The trouble with bloat is that it is really just a description of symptoms and not a diagnosis of what actually causes the symptoms.  Unfortunately no one really knows what causes bloat.  There are lots of theories, e.g., too much animal protein in the diet, etc.  but none are very satisfactory.  Sorry I can't be of more help.
