Wat should i do? can i take the stone (which has eggs )and keep tat stone in a small fish bowl? im confused and i dont want to loose the babies...and also if the babies are gone the parents become aggressive and kill each other....

Answer
Manish,

Cichlids are awesome parents. You don't really want to take the babies out until they are 1cm long. If the other fish are eating them, you either have too small of a tank or too many fish. The parents guard the eggs and the newborn fry. If you remove the eggs you need to put them in a 10 gallon tank with a sponge filter and heater. A fish bowl will not work. Your pair might still be young. Are the other fish in the tank bigger than the Jewels? You can try removing the eggs, but in past experiences, it has not worked. Make sure you feed the other fish in the tank so that they don't go after the young ones. Sorry I cannot be of better help, but this is really all you can do.
