Budgies Breeding

Question
My budgies have started breeding today. The female goes in the nest box often, and daily. What should i except & how long before the baby budgies arrive? Thanks

Answer
Here's a basic timeline for budgie breeding.

1) Mating/Nesting- about a week after they start mating, you could see eggs.
2) Laying-  Budgies lay 3-6 eggs, every other day.
3) Incubating- the female will start incubating after she's laid 2 or 3 eggs.
4) Hatching- the eggs normally hatch between 18 and 20 days after the female starts incubating.
