Grieving a death

Question
My son's bird just died, any encouraging words for him would be appreciated.  John is 13, and this is his email address.  He was very caring and loving to his bird.

It was a parakeet named Tiny.  Thanks, loving mom

Answer
Oh no...poor thing!

I'm so sorry to hear about the bird's death.  Sorry, but your son's email address did not come through.  Let him know that while it's natural to grieve and feel sad, remember the happy times and remember that a new day will come.   While his friend is gone, think of the life that he lived.  His bird was surrounded by people that loved him until the day he died.

Please give your son my condolences!
