my budgie is shivering

hi Leah,
today my budgie flew into the sink full of cold water and now he's shivering I've dried him with a hairdrier at about 30cm away on the lowest temp. and kept nim in a blanket but he's still shivering what do i do?

You should set up a hospital cage.  Either a small bird cage without perches or a small aquarium with a lid will work well.  Aquariums are best for this since they retain temperature well.  If you have a hot water bottle or heating pad, heat it and see if it's warm to the touch.  If you have a heating pad, turn it off for about 10 minutes every 30 to keep things from getting too warm.   Only have this on half of the cage so that if he gets too hot, he can move away.  You should also cover the hospital cage with a blanket or towel to keep it warm.

Provided he is well cared for and rewarmed, he should be fine.  But watch him closely for any signs of illness.  If his breathing seems different, his eating or drinking habits change, or his poop changes, call a vet and get him checked out.
