My birds Leg is broke

i have a budgie and yesturday his leg got accidently smashed by a window, i took him to the vet but it cost too much $ to get it fix,he told me that the bird could get better but I wanna know if the broken bone will ever be okey, and what alse can i DO? dOES THE BIRD HAVE TO MAINTAIN MOTIONLESS???

No the bird does not have to stay motionless. What I would do is place the bird in a hospital cage (just a cage by itself, away from stress) Place a small wattage desk lamp next to cage for extra warmth. I would not have any perches in this cage. I had a finch that lived for 6 years that had no use of an entire side of its body. It could only use one wing, one leg, etc. That didn't stop him (he could only fly in a circle) but he seemed very happy and content.
