cockatiels head injuries

today i found a injured cockateil in the park and was wondering if it would survive my friend has it at the moment it can eat and drink but is unsteady on its feet.. we believe the injury is from other birds. the injury is on the top of its head where the crest usualy is it looks scared but is not opened do you think the bird will survive?

This bird needs to be seen by an avian veterinarian immediately. If you are unable to provide this basic care for the bird then please take it to a shelter or local parrot rescue.

To find it's owners here are the steps to take;

1. Post a found ad on www.craigslist.or
2. Post a found notice on http://www.911parrotalert.com/
3. Post an ad in your local paper.
