How to start my foal and how to build my relationship with her and the mare

I am 13 and I have been riding and training for 4 years. We just bought a mare and foal. The foal is pretty independent and nice. She lets me touch her for a few seconds. I would just like to know what I should be doing with her she is 5 weeks old. They live in a big pasture. They are kept with three other horses. The mare kind of trusts me she follows me with out a lead rope but I really just want to build the relationship because I feel like I don't have one.How do I do that ?

Watch her mom and how she treats the baby, watch other horses and see how they treat each other, horses are herd animals and are very different than people, so learn about horses so you understand them and know how they think and why they do what they do, then you will be able to help your horses and have a good relationship with them.

Read my website from start to finish and then try some things you read, then go back and read my site again, each time you read it, it will make more sense and you will get a better understanding of the horse.
