minimum age to learn show jumping

hello, for a horse to learn show jumping, how much old should that horse be? especially thoroughbreds. i mean to say the minimum age for a horse to learn show jumping

I owuld not even consider starting him over low fences until he at least five years old.

Then it would be ground poles and small fences until he is six.

All of the basic work and flat work will make the horse eassier to jump and stronger.

There is a saying that each horse only has so many jumps in him...do not use them up when he is too young and break him down.
