evaluating thoroughbred head

Question
hello ma'am, i am getting confused on how to evaluate the head of a thoroughbred horse in the auction ring. can you please help me out how to pick a horse with ideal decent head? why head confirmation plays an important role?

Answer
Thoroughbreds generally have fine heads......fairly small ears-, their heads are generally well refined.

I do not put much stock into the conformtion of the head. Man O'War had quite a Roman nose,
Stymie and the famous horse Exterminator really did not have typical Thoroughbred heads, but they were great horses.

People will talk about pig eyes, loppy ears ( I personally like these in a lot of school horses), etc.I htink you need to consider the whole horses, and especially the temperament.
