Under pads

In a "Speed" jumpers class, can I use a thin, white western blanket (I would fold it small) for a under pad? Or do I need a real under pad for show?

Holly, Instead of a western pad, why don't you try a thin white quilted square english pad?  Like a thin dressage pad.  Because if you get a thin western pad and fold it, it will just be thicker.  I could help you a little better if you could tell me what you want the purpose of this pad to be, and what level show you are attending?  Local or rated?
