Hind leg lameness

Question
Hello Bradford, I hope you don't mind me writing again as I wanted to give you an update on the lame TB mare as I have noticed other issues which I think are significant.

She is still lifting the off hind leg up high (and taking a big step)when she walks and holds it a couple of inches off the ground occasionally whilst standing still.  As well as this she is dragging the near hind leg and short stepping. The near side hip is also dropping when taking a step.

thanks so much for your participation
Vicki

I cant remember but if you have not had a vet look at this horse, you need to. If this is still going on or changing it needs to be evaluated first hand by a good equine vet. The mare needs a good lameness and neurological examination to begin with. Id suggest you get this done now.
