buying my first horse

hi,my name is sophie and i am 10 yrs old and 5 foot tall my father said i can get a horse,i have had experiences of riding in the uk but am now moving to portugal would you be able to help me by telling me what sort of horse i should get and what size many thanks sophie.

hi sophie,
basically you want a horse over ten years of age and no higher then 15 hands.i did some research on portugal horses and it seems they mostly have lusitanos. i would say get a cross breed. they are often the best riding horses and have the best temperments. look at the geldings and do NOT get a stallion. that would be very bad. so basically any horse that says it has a good safe temperment will be good. good luck and congrats on getting a horse.
