Help with my mare please

well i got an appaloosa mare last year. She is about fifteen years old. We think she may be pregnant. Is it safe for her to be pregnant. Will she be ok. Please tell i am worried that she might not be ok. Please help

Dear Erica

Are you certain she is in foal, as you brought her last year.  Has this been confirmed by a vet?  We certainly don't encourage owners/carers to put their horses in foal over the age of 15.  However, as long as the vet is happy with the mare welfare and well being, then they usually foal without a problem.  Again, you really need to talk to your vet as soon as possible.
