horse pregnacy

Question
i have a 14yr old mare that i purhased in late sept of 06 and ive noticed that she is getting really big in the middle and has been acting kinda wierd. 4 days ago i noticed that she had utters and had waxing on her tets. since then ive put her up in the barn and have been checking up on her pretty regular. she is producing milk and has all the signs of being ready to foal but the previous owners tell me ther is no way. there was no stud horse anywhere close. i have an app w/ a vet later in the week but just want to know is there anyway that she could not be pregnant and still be producing milk? or am i just getting my hopes up for nothing?

Answer
Dear Travis,
It could be that she is having a phantom pregnancy but it dosen't seem like it to me. If she is acting differantly and getting larger then it is possibly that she is pregnant. You'll need to wait for the vet to be absolutly sure, but it seems like a yes to me.
