Your Honest Answers - Rick Gore Horsemanship

Question
Rick, I just wanted to tell you that people don't realize how correct you are and how true your advice is.  I have been training horses for years and most of my clients are women. A lot of them are too busy, over-weight, are scared of horses and just screw up their horses. I can't tell them what you say, even if it is true, or I will lose their business. If people really want to learn about horses they should take your advice and stop complaining.

I also refer my clients to your site and to your answers, so maybe they will see what you say applies to them, without me saying it.  Thanks for looking out for the horses, not too many do that anymore.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks and to let you know, I think you are spot on right.

Answer
Well Jim (if that is your real name? I would understand why not) lol

Thanks for the kind words. I have been told by many trainers and people that know horse that they know I am right, but they cannot be as sharp or direct since they will not get repeat business.  I guess I have never been good at pulling punches and I just call it as I see it.  If more people did that I think horses would get a better deal.  But I also know when money is involved, everything changes.

That is why I can be so honest, I have nothing to gain or lose, so I just call it like I see it.  But not a lot of people like to be told the truth, they would rather someone be nice and BS them rather than tell them truth.  You would think with horses and the risk and the chance of injury and death, you would want honest over feel good advice.  Not so in my opinion.

Thanks again for your comments.

Rick
