How long can a Mississippi Map Turtle survive without water? My turtles are less than a year. I ask because the other night, one of the turtles escaped through a hole at the top of its tank. We found it the next morning. It had someone injured its mouth. There was blood around it. We're wondering how long it could have gone without water.

Turtles don't need to live in water, they are just more comfortable in water.  They can live without water until they dehydrate which is generally a couple of weeks depending on the weather.
