Redfoot tortoise rocking

Question
Hello, my redfoot tortoise will rock his legs back and fourth when I am speaking to him or misting him. It's almost like he's trying to move but doesn't. Is this normal behavior or is this a problem? Also is there some where I could find a list of normal tortoise behavior?

Thank you,

Brigett

Answer
He's just breathing. They 'sag' their limbs in and out, or puff their throats to breathe.

While there is not really a list, you can try these sites for good care info:

Good luck!
