small, short lived

What is a small turtle that lives about 5-10 years? Is it a painted? Are there more choices? It's just hard to find turtles that don't live 25 years.

Turtle longevity is based on cares. Most well-cared for species live over 20 years, even the smallest. Sadly, the cares most people give Painteds and Sliders tends to kill them within 5 years, which makes some people think they are short-lived.

I'm sorry, but if you want a small, short-lived reptile, you might try some of the smaller lizards or most of the amphibians.
