Question
I have a baby bull snake my daughter and I caught on the golf course in colorado.  We do not intend to keep him forever but while we are enjoying watching him I would like to make sure he is getting the appropriate nutrition.  He is very small his head is about as big as a pinky nail what should I feed him?

Answer
Hi Tee,
Bull snakes eat mice and rats. Check your local exotic pet store for small "pinky" mice. It should be no bigger than the largest part of the snake's body (girth) and should be fed once a week. I have a bull X pine snake and he is a voracious eater. Enjoy your temporary guest.
