QuestionDo snakes go into of sort of hibernation? I hadn't seen my snake for just over a month and when i checked him,he was fine. He's been out and about for short times but whenever i put food in he doesn't eat..is this normal? He looks healthy and shed his skin about 2 months ago.He just doesn't seem to be hungry ?
AnswerHi Lynn,
It is not uncommon for snakes to go through a sort of hibernation. I have some that will not eat from Jan - Mar and other who just keep eating no matter the season. I would leave the food in overnight, preferably in his hide. Providing the rest of your husbandry is good, he will eat when he gets hungry enough.
