Question
I had used to have two leopard geckos and the first one had stopped eating and kept losing wieght. I took him to the vet and got medicine for him and did everything she told me to and he still died. Now my other leopard gecko seems to be doing the same thing.  She seems to try and eat but she doesn't gain any weight. She is really skinny and I fear she is dying. She has a large purpleish red mark on her stomach and I am not sure if it is a bruise or her organs.  I'm not sure what to do. The temperature is at thirty degreess calcius and I mist in there once a day and if not than every second day. I"m really at a loss for what to do. Also her colors are not as bright as they used to be and her tongue is not pink anymore it a pale yucky color. HELP!!

Answer
Hi Megan. I'm sorry to hear you lost a gecko, and that another is ill. I am sure that both you and the vet did all that you could for the 1st, but sometimes we just can't save our sick pets. The second gecko is also ill, I would guess it's a blister disease, and it needs to go to the vet ASAP too. I would guess that antibiotics would be needed, and the sooner you get them, the better chance your lizard has of recovering. I wish you the best of luck, and I hop e all turns out well! Nicole
