Question
I have a 3 month old bearded dragon and im woundering is it ok for me to have her on Ground english walnut shells during the day while she plays and basks, and then when it comes time to eat put her in a capeted tank to eat. Do i still post a risk of her becoming impacted during the day?

Answer
Hello, Crushed wanut/sand/bark or anything that is in bits and pieces can be swollowed some think its ok to feed in another tank some say they still lick there habitat and they do and still can get some bedding in there mouths. Also I've noticed with my own dragons putting them in another tank to eat(so crickets don't go and hide) doesnt work they will Not eat in another tank..to be on the safer side newspaper/paper towels or Textured ceramic tiles layed flat and cut to fit via the hardware store look great and are wipe clean. Reptile carpet is also nice to look at and doesnt have any problems about impaction either you buy two pieces and wash one and hang to dry when one gets dirty.
