Question
Hello
I have been breeding fish for several years, however when I moved to BC I had to sell everything.

Since I moved to BC I have wanted to get back into breeding as I have always enjoyed being able to say that I've done it, and done it right. Unlike all those who do it for profit, I do it for the love of doing it.

I work for a Tropical/Marine/Reptile Distributer (not breeder) in BC so getting a hold of food isnt a problem. My question I guess would be, can you sugest any good books or websites regarding breeding Beared Dragaons? as well as any good suppliers of Aduld beared Dragons that would be suitable to breed.

I always find it works best to read as much as possible before attempting projects such as this. That way I know what to expect, what to do, how to do it and everything in between.

I would like to thank you in advance for your time.

Answer
Hi Graham, I've included three web sites that should get you off to a good start as well as a link to a book that I recommend. I'm sorry, I'm not really able to recommend a source for breeding stock. There are numerous colour morphs available in beardeds now that you may want to look into. I'm assuming you are planning to sell or trade the babies through your workplace.  Beardeds are pretty easy to breed and have fairly large clutches. You should also get an idea of the market for babies in your distribution area before you get too heavily into it. Good luck with your research.
