Question
QUESTION: Hi there i bought a new baby beardie two weeks ago, Now im new to the whole reptile thing and i got a care sheet with him, i was giving him vitamin dust every day unknown that it causes toxcity as it didnt say when to give it dust in the care sheet, my dragon is now stressed out and is blowing his beard and body out and has a blocked nose , i have bathed him and sprayed him , how can i help him further and how long will it take to go away i worried about him could you please help me thanks

ANSWER:   With any hypervitaminosis, I would have a vet consulted immediately.  Stop the vitamins for now, and I would try and get enough water into him to help him eliminate the excess vitamin.
Give him a well minced salad of calcium rich greens and don't dust.
What brand of vitamins are you using?  You even have tobe careful of the brand.  Most offered at pet shops are not even good.  The only decent ones are made by Rep-cal or Miner-all.

QUESTION: Its called dragon dust made by- trex and there are no vets anywhere near by me for miles, he is getting sprayed and bathed a few times since it happened he seems ok still eating and drinking and passing foods also is still livley as ever its just every 5 or 6 hours he is puffing up, i have him a salad but he never seems to ever eat it even before this he never ate salad but it was offeredd to him freshly, do you know of any beardies dieing from this i hope not i will be gutted if i have killed him :(

Answer
If he is eating and drinking and pooping, he will clear himself of that stuff.  I have read that the T-Rex supplements should be avoided, that it has caused problems in young beardies.  Get rid of it and get some Rep-cal instead.  Just keep an eye on him.
You really should have a veterinarian.  go to arav.org and see what vets are closest.  He needs to be checked for parasites and it would be to your advantage to have one when he needs one.  I know there are fewer reptile specialists, but many reptile owners do go as far as 1-2 hours away to get to a vet.  Mine is a half hour away and I'm there when I even see a hint of a problem.
