Bearded Dragons swollen eye

HI my bearded dragon is about 8 months old and just recently in the last few days he has developed a major eye swell. He is still acting pretty normal eating and everything but his right eye is swollen shut from the top eyelid. I notice it and was only a small swell then the next day it grew alot. Im not sure what to do or what it is any advise would be great!

Hello Phil,

Sorry to hear that.  Can you post a picture for me?  
Did he get something in it like loose substrate or something that could have caused an infection perhaps?
Is it just the one eye & not the other?  
What type & brand of UVB are you using, is it a flourescent tube bulb or a compact or coil light?  What type of basking light are you using?
You should probably get him in to the vet though in case there is infection in that eye.  It sounds like something that came on pretty fast, too.
Let me know how he is doing.  Other than that, you could use an herbal tea bag warmed & moistened & put it on his eye at night while he is going to sleep, & that may help some of the swelling or discomfort he has right now.
